Autumn Equinox

Today is the first day and the start of holiday celebrations for me. I love the fall, crisp and colourful leaves, cool mornings and sunny afternoons, rows of chrysanthemums and pumpkins on porches, and new sweaters to buy - I have a sweater thing. I actually own more sweaters then any other piece of clothing. Never have enough sweaters!

On the Equinox we have a relaxing dinner and say prayers of thanks for the next season, and for us to be mindful of how the world around us changes, how things need to change in order for life to continue, and for a simple abundance during the harvest.

Our Autumn Equinox menu:

Gingered Acorn Squash Bisque (I use apple juice instead of sherry)
Enjoy your day!
